WELCOME TO YOGANICA

THE YOGANICA EXPERIENCE

Welcome to Yoganica, yoga classes devoted to promoting physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing through ancient practices and principles.

Yoganica’s approach to teaching is based on the ancient Indian principles of Viniyoga, each class is designed and adapted to accommodate the specific needs of each person. We offer a supportive community where everyone is encouraged to practice at their own pace with each class suitable for all levels of experience.

SLOW FLOW YOGA

At Yoganica, our mindful movement and breath-centered Slow Flow Yoga class is designed to be simple and slow-paced, focusing on safe movement and alignment where individuals can connect with themselves. Each class incorporates a mix of dynamic flow and static hold asana sequences (the physical element of yoga) and various other elements, including pranayama (breathwork) and meditation.

YANG + YIN YOGA

Combining two contrasting yet incredibly complementary styles of yoga, Yoganica’s YANG + YIN YOGA class offers a well-balanced yoga practice. Each class will begin with mindful and breath-centered dynamic movement, much like our Slow Flow Yoga class (the YANG element of the practice), physically working on strength and mobility. The class will then transition to long-held passive poses (the YIN element of the class) to target the release of the deep connective tissues, bring balance to the body’s organs, improve flexibility and mobility and stimulate subtle energetic flow. Each class will finish with a guided meditation.

YIN + RESTORATIVE YOGA

Yoganica's Yin + Restorative yoga class is a mindful and relaxing experience based on Taoist Philosophy and traditional Hatha Yoga principles. Each class will guide you through long-held passive yin and restorative yoga poses with each pose held for approximately 3-5 minutes to target the release of deep connective tissues including the fascia, ligaments and tendons to promote physical and emotional wellbeing. Each class will incorporate principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) by stimulating Qi flow to shift stagnant energy along the meridian lines which help to ensure the healthy functioning of all the body’s systems. The class will end with a deeply soul-nurturing meditation.

Yoga can become a powerful means to achieve a state of inner peace. With regular practice, yoga gifts the tools to navigate life’s challenging situations and cultivate a life of bliss and content.
